What to Expect

The United Presbyterian Church is a congregation of about 100 members. We worship at 10:30 on Sunday mornings at 150 Main Street in Hornell, New York.

Worship at UPC is traditional and welcoming to all. Our worship includes the reading and preaching of the Scriptures as well as prayer — and music. We have an exceptional choir and music is an important part of our worship.

We celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of every month. We practice open communion — all are welcome to receive the sacrament.

People wear whatever makes them comfortable — everything from jeans and a casual shirt or blouse to dresses or sport coats. Our service ends about 11:30 a.m. and is often followed by a fellowship time with coffee, a bite to eat, and friendly conversation. The location of fellowship time within the church buildings is always announced at worship.

Accessibility

You will find clear signage throughout the church’s connected buildings and rooms to help you find your way. Our interior is wheelchair accessible. Restrooms are down the ramp before you reach our dining room. We offer handicap parking at the Church Street entrance.
