Hornell YMCA Community Garden
The Community Garden is located at the Hornell YMCA side yard. Our volunteers are always proud when we have a successful season. We sometimes harvest nearly 200 pounds of fresh vegetables for our local food pantries. This helps us do our part to address food insecurity in the Hornell area.
It takes volunteers to maintain the 14 garden beds located in the greenspace next to the YMCA. Our recent volunteers include Hornell High School students, the Alfred University Women’s Soccer team with their coach Mr. Craig Yanni, along with many others who donated seeds and plants and physical labor.
