About Our Mission

We Develop & Create Better World.

Twice yearly flowers are purchased through the Deacon Fund and Delivered to our shut-ins and others who are not able to get out.

Easter flowers are given in the spring and poinsettias are given a Christmas.

Another of our Mission Projects is The Angel Tree in November and December. Our congregation is very helpful with this outreach program. This year working with Catholic Charities we were able to help 5 families have a better Christmas giving a total of 54 gifts.

Visitations

During the year Deacons sign up to visit individuals on our visitation list. We keep in touch with these individuals in a variety of ways including monthly calls, cards, visits with those who feel comfortable with an in person visit.

Dime a Day Collection

The Dime a Day collection is done the last Sunday of the month, and is divided equally between the Salvation Army and The Food Bank of the Southern Tier. The money that goes to the food bank is used to help provide food for the Backpack Program which sends food home with less fortunate students to help provide nutritious food for the weekend.

The Fill The Cart Project with Love

Each month nonfood items are collected in a basket inside the Church St entrance, items collected are such as the following, bathing, diapers, laundry, other personal items and so on.

The Deacons all have gift cards for $10 from the Dollar General and Walmart and services cards for individuals that they might encounter who need the help.

Communion

Preparation and cleanup is done by deacons who volunteer to help with this. On Behalf of the Deacons, thank you all for your help to be able to continue the projects that provide help and share some happiness to all in need.

An additional part of our Agape Fund is to help people in need of financial help.
