As a community of Christians, we welcome all who seek to learn and grow in faith. We are an open and caring warm and congregation providing a warm welcome to all.
Our Church Community
The First Presbyterian Church of Hornell was chartered in 1832 and continued until 1967, when it merged with the Westminster Presbyterian Church to become the United Presbyterian Church of Hornell.
We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and of the Presbytery of Geneva (a district group of Presbyterian churches in the Finger Lakes region of New York State). We seek to worship God and to grow in faith and understanding, to be united in the spirit of Christian fellowship, and to serve others in the name of Christ.
Boards & Committees
Our church committees are dedicated to nurturing the spiritual growth of our church family and strengthening our outreach in the community. We work together to plan events, support ministries, and ensure the smooth operation of our church. Whether you have experience or just a heart for service, we’d love to have you as part of our team!
